In the fourth quarter of 2020, Latin America witnessed significant activity in the Tower Defense games category. Sensor Tower provides a detailed analysis of the top five games in this genre, highlighting their performance on the unified platform, which includes both iOS and Android data.

Plants vs. Zombies™, published by Electronic Arts, saw its revenue peak at around $1.2K in late December, with a steady rise from September's $837. Downloads fluctuated, starting at roughly 321K and spiking to 350K in early October, before a gradual decline and a rebound to 341K by year-end. Weekly active users (WAUs) started at over 2.1M, peaked at 2.2M in the first week of October, and closed the quarter with over 2.1M.

The sequel, Plants vs. Zombies™ 2 from PopCap, also experienced a revenue increase, with a notable jump to $32K during the week of December 21st. The game's downloads began at 204K and reached a high of 242K in the final week of December. Lastly, Tactical War: Tower Defense by Binary Punch s.r.o. had a revenue trend that fluctuated but generally rose, ending the quarter at $206. The game's downloads started at around 22K, peaked at 25K in late October, and then slightly decreased to 17K by the end of December. WAUs saw a decline from over 51K to just under 42K in the same period.
